featured-image3Ivan Aristeguieta became a full time comedian after having a successful career as a Brew Master and Food Technologist in his home country of Venezuela. He left the Brewery but beer is still part of his job.

He quickly escalated to become part of the new Venezuelan comedy movement selling out shows around Venezuela and Miami-Florida (USA).

On the year 2012 Ivan migrated to Australia and took the great challenge of performing comedy in a second language and aimed for Australian laughter.

Merely a few months performing comedy in English Ivan was hand picked by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to participate in “The Comedy Zone” on 2013, the show that features the best five up and coming comedians of Australia. A year after his debut in English Ivan was awarded with the “Dave Grant Comedy Grant”, a special grant for comedians doing their first solo show at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Ivan has presented two solo shows in Australia in English “Lost in Pronunciation” (2014) and “Permanent Resident” (2015) with sold out shows at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival that have generated great media reviews and a fast growing following audience in the country. He is currently working on his third show “Chorizo Sizzle” the first show where he will be combining his two loves: Comedy and Food.

He has toured around Australia for 2 consecutive years with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Road Show and the Sydney International Comedy Festival Showcase Tour.

As well as being an in-demand comedian in comedy clubs and corporate functions, Ivan also uses his experience as a bilingual performer, immigrant and former leader in a commercial brewery to inspire people.

He has developed two keynote speeches “From Culture Shock to Culture Growth” for audiences in the need to quickly adapt to new environments, connect with their new team members, partners or fellow citizens and the keynote “Are They in the Mood for Your Message?” in which he explains how to get people (customers, employees, audience members) ready and keen to listen to you by using the behind-the-scene-strategies of stand up comedy.
